Branch News: BRANCH 165 — AKRON, OHIO We are proud to announce the election of JOHN A. SUNYECZ to the National Honor Society. He is a student in Cuyahoga Falls High School. He was named a Rotary Honor Scholar also for 1981-82. John is planning to further his education and become a Pharmacist. We wish him good luck in his chosen field. John is a member of Branch 165 , the son of Barbara and John Sunyecz and the grandson of our branch manager Mrs. Elizabeth Patonai. Anna R. Sola BRANCH 22 — YOUNGSTOWN, OHJO SUSAN JOYCE SABO, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A1 Sabo, received her degree at the third annual commencement of Wright State University, School of Medicine, Dayton, Ohio. Susan received her A. B. degree from Vassar College and her B. S. degree from Youngstown State Univer­sity. She completed her first two years of Medical School at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she earned honors in bioethics, oncology, community medicine and psychiatry. On July 1st she began a residency in Internal Medicine at Grant Hospital in Chicago, 111. Susan, along with the rest of her family are members of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. John K. Morey BRANCH 213 — LOGAN, WEST VIRGINIA Mrs. AGNES HAYDU of Pecks Mill, W. Virginia recently returned from a four weeks visit to Europe. While in Germany she was the house guest of Captain and Mrs. Charles Puckett and their children Chuch and Cheri. Mrs. Puckett is the former Mary Elizabeth Haydu. Mrs. Haydu flew from Frankfurt, Germany by the Hungarian Airlines to Budapest where she was met by a cousin who took her by car to visit other relatives in Gulacs, Tivador, Sopron, Csapód, Hu- gyag and Budapest. Upon returning to Germany she and the Puckett family went on bus tours to Amsterdam, Holland; Paris, France; and Vienna, Austria. They also toured the Austrian and Switzerland Alps and cities in Southern Germany by car. Mrs. Haydu was accompanied to Washington, D. C. (and back to West Virginia) by her sons where she flew to Frankfurt from Dulles 'International Airport by Pan Am Airlines. Mrs. Haydu has been branch manager of Branch 213 for the past 23 years. BRANCH 300 WASHINGTON. D. C. eently attending Cameron lahoma. RICHARD L. HARRIS, son of Richard and Eva Bordás Harris, was pro­moted to the rank of Cap­tain on September 1, 1982 at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He is also the grandson of Mrs. Mária Bordás and the late István László Bordás. Captain Harris graduated from Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, New York and he is pre- University, in Lawton, Ok­The entire Harris and Bordás families are mem­bers of the Federation. Captain Harris was also a member until his enlistment in the Army on January 25, 1977. BRANCH 21 —TOLEDO, OHIO Saturday, August 21, 1982, Branch 21 held a meeting to get things ready for the Eighth Annual Birmingham Festival. Our Branch has charge of a booth with hand work. On Sunday, August 22, members started to de­corate the booth at 9 o’clock in the morning and set up and priced all the articles. This year Stephen Molnár (Ethel Molnar’s brother) built a big doll house. It was a southern mansion and tickets were sold on it in our booth. The money on that project was sent to the Bethlen Home — $101.00. The festival started out with an opening cere­mony at three churches at noon and ran till 10 p.m. 9 T
