GREETINGS: I am pleased to send warm regards to all who are gathered in Ligonier this week for the 31st Quadrennial Convention of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. Pennsylvania is proud of its rich and varied cultural heritage and encourages the preservation of our special traditions and customs. Citizens of Hungarian descent deserve commendation for the important role they have played in shaping many of our country's institutions. The Hungarian Reformed Federation is dedicated to serving the educational and charitable needs of the community. Nowhere is this more evident than in Ligonier where the Bethlen Home nursing facility is located. In addition, as a fraternal benefit society, this organization has also done much to instill and strengthen a strong sense of patriotism in our citizens. As Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and on behalf of all Pennsylvanians, I extend best wishes to all for an enjoyable and meaningful convention. COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR HARRISBURG June 23, 1980
