ELMER VARGO: FROM THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY We have started the work for the year of 1977. To date the district meetings were held in Cleveland, Chicago, Homestead and Perth Amboy. All of these sessions were informative for all in attendance as the National Officers spoke regarding the duties of their respective offices. The Secretary reported on the Field and production of the Field Personnel. Our aims and goals for the year of 1977 were outlined and we feel confident that with a determined effort of all, we will look hack on this year with pride in our accomplishments. This can only he made possible with the continued loyal and dedicated spirit shown heretofore by »ur field force and home office personnel. Mr. László L. Eszenyi, Executive Vice-president delivers his report at the Chicago district meeting held in Whiting, Ind. A very informative question and answer discussion followed each meeting. The importance of our field force and their knowledge of our FRATERNAL LIFE INSURANCE system is beneficial to all who had attended these meetings. In all of your branch meetings, may I request that you stress the importance to all members in helping obtain new members for our Federation and getting involved. To date our production has been moving at a steady pace and those of you that are responsible for it are to be commended. Let us hope that those field personnel that have not yet added The four National Officers and Charles Modory, Director, at the Chicago District Meeting held at Whiting, Ind. their contribution to our production, they will now be ready to do their share. Any load is easier to carry when more are involved and the load is distributed. The same is true with our production. ARE YOU DOING YOUR SHARE??? In my short tenure in office I have had the privilege to sign certificates for two sets of twins. We welcome into our Federation membership, twin girls, Ericka Marie and Erin Kathleen Hickey born on November 24, 1976 and the proud parents are Michael and Katherine Hickey from Huntington Beach, Calif. Katherine is the daughter of our Section Manager, Mrs. Margaret Saltzer. The other set of twin girls, Michele Kathleen and Rachele Jeanine Oris were born on March 20, 1977 and the proud parents are Louis and Connie Oris from Painesville, Ohio. Louis is the nephew of our Section Manager, Albert Oris. May God Bless these children and give wisdom, strength and guidance to the parents in the years ahead to raise them in a true Christian spirit. Cleveland Branches Donate To The Student Aid Fund And Bethlen Home The proceeds of the 80th anniversary dinner- dance held in Cleveland, Ohio on November 6, 1976 was given to the Student Aid Fund and the Bethlen Home. The Cleveland Branches, 2, 4 and 352 sponsored this Bicentennial 80th anniversary celebration and it was a very successful affair. Pictures appeared in the last issue of the Fraternity. On behalf of our National Officers, Directors and the Bethlen Home, our heartfelt thanks are extended to these branches for their loyal fraternal spirit in the helping of others. Let us look to the other branches throughout the country to follow this fine example and sponsor social events for these two great causes. r
