CLEVELAND CHRISTMAS PARTY By Elmer E. Vargo, Director The annual Christmas Party of Branches 2 and 4 was held on Saturday evening, December 9th in our Federation Hall. We had a full house and a delicious dinner was prepared by Mrs. Mary Balogh, President of Branch No. 4 and her corp of officers. Everyone looks forward to this party as it is an evening when the members can get together and socialize. Refreshments were served before the dinner and afterwards the group joined in the singing of Christmas Carols led by Mrs. Betty Gal- gany. The invocation was given by Rev. Gabor Brachna, Pastor of The First Hungarian Lutheran Church. Dr. Zoltán Beky, president extends welcome from the National Officers and Board members. Right: Elmer Vargo, toastmaster. Jolly Old St. Nick made his appearance and gifts were distributed to all of the children in attendance. It was a very enjoyable evening of fellowship and there was a door prize drawing at the close of the evening. The program was conducted by Director Elmer E. Vargo and introductions and remarks were made by Vice President, Dr. Stephen Szabó; and Directors Wil­liam Aros and William Szuch who extended Holiday Greetings to all. It was an honor to have with us our beloved Presi­dent, Dr. Zoltán Beky from Washington, D. C. Dr. Stephen Szabó and Dr. Beky greet the children. After greetings by Dr. Beky, he made presentations of the Federation incdal to our loyal and devoted mem­bers that work so hard in promoting our branch activi­ties and The Bethlen Home. Awards were presented to the following Officers of Branch No. 4: Mrs. Mary Balogh, President; Mrs. Eliza­beth Livak, Vice President; Mrs. Anna Kara, Secretary; Mrs. Louis Juriasz and Mrs. Vera Salem, Auditors. From the Hungarian Ladies Charity Club presentations were made to Mrs. Bertha Ludescher and Mrs. Betty Galgany. Introductions of the following were made: District Manager, László Kernes and wife Ilona; Section Man­ager, Joseph Arnosky and wife Rose; Mrs. Stephen Szabó, Mrs. William Aros, Mrs. William Szuch, Mrs. Jolán Abel, Sándor Szabadkai, Mrs. Gabor Brachna, Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Piri. May God Bless these faithful members and give them strength to carry on our fraternal activities for many years to come.
