PAUL ST. MIKLOSSY, TREASURER, ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE STATE PRESIDENTS SECTION-NFC The National Fraternal Congress, of which the Federation is a member, together with 101 other frater­nal organizations, held its 85th annual meeting Septem­ber 26-29th at the Denver Hilton Hotel in Denver, Colorado, where our Treasurer, Paul St. Miklossy, was elected President of the State Fraternal Congress Sec­tion. He represented the Federation as delegate. The words, “Fratemals Care” was the theme for the Congress, that is, the object of the National Frater­nal Congress of America shall be to promote the general welfare of the Fraternal Benefit System by uniting fraternal benefit societies in all matters of mutual con­cern and public interest. The meeting was opened by Robert R. Bryant, President of the National Fraternal Congress at 8:30 A.M. Monday with over 600 fraternalists attending. The Congress has ten different sections, with special meet­ings held in each section. Our Treasurer, as Second Vice-President of the States Fraternal Section, attended this section meeting. He was elected President of the States Fraternal Section at this meeting for the coming year. We congratulate both our Treasurer and our Fede­ration for this representation at the National Fraternal Congress. The next meeting of the Congress will be held in Dallas, Texas on October 1-4, 1972, where our Federation will be represented in the chair of the State Fraternal Section by our Treasurer. We wish him a successful year in his office, and we are proud to have our society, The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, honored by his election. Officers of the presidents Section NFC. CAPTAIN ALEXANDER S. FINTA Captain Alexander S. Finta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sándor Finta of Altadena, California, was graduated from the U. S. Air Force Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB. Alabama. The curriculum covered advanced military leader­ship, management and use of aerospace forces. Captain Finta was commissioned in 1964 through Officer Training School, Lackland AFB, Tex. He has also completed a tour of duty in Vietnam. A 1958 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Los Angeles, he received his B.S. degree in 1964 from Florida State University. His many friends back here, in the City of Angels, all remember the High School Student Finta who be­came a perpetual member of the “California Senior Scholarship Society”, and who represented our city in the American Red Cross’ National Convention in 1957. Eight members of the Finta Family are members of the Hollywood, Calif, branch of our Federation. We’re proud of you and your Family, Sándor! — I mean, Captain Finta, Sir. Dolinszky 16
