Joseph Kecskeméthy: INTRODUCING OUR FIELD FORCE Taking over from her father, the late Mr. Michael Jakab, after thirty years as our branch mnager, MRS. AL­BERT PUTNOKY has managed Branch No. 45 since 1962. Mr. and Mrs. Putnoky, who celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary last year, reside at 227 Gordon Street, Roselle, N. J. and are members of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth, N. J. They have three Sandra, both married; and John 16, a high school student. Their pride and joy are their three grandchildren; two girls and a boy. Mrs. Putnoky is an elder of her church and an active member of the Ladies’ Aid Society. Dancing, which keeps Mrs. Putnoky perpetually youthful, and “more work” are her hobbies, she says. May she add many more years of out­standing service to her five years of work with our Federation. Succeeding Mr. John Koran, one of the old faithful branch managers who retired after 33 years of service with our Federation. MR. EDWARD KOSTA of 4783 Sampson Drive, Youngstown, Ohio, has managed Branch No. 22 in Youngstown for four years. He was born in Wehrum, Pa. where he attended both elemen­tary and high school and subsequent­ly entered the Penn-Ohio School of Real Etate, Penn State Extension. Married for 25 years, Mr. and Mrs. Kosta have two children: Betty Ann and Edward Steven. A first class welder at Re­publican Steel Corporation for 25 years, Mr. Kosta has numerous other interests. He is a thirty-second degree Mason, a member of Sulgrave No. 696, F. & A. M. Mummers’ Club, and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. The Kostas are active members of the United Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, where Mr. Kosta served as elder for nine years. He is a radio, TV and garden enthusiast and a good insurance sales­man of our Federation. MRS. IDA TOTH, Secretary of our Cleveland office, has been an out­standing employee of the Federation for the past three years. Mr. and Mrs. Bertalan Toth reside at 24819 Emery Road, Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Born in Göncz, Hungary, she did not come to the United States until she was fifteen years old. Settl­ing here she continued her education in Cleveland where she was graduated from Orange High School, subse­quently completing a two-year business course at Dyke College also in Cleveland. The Toths have been married for twenty years and have one daughter: Delphi Melinda, an honor student at Western Reserve University, and a recipient of one of our Federation’s Scholarships awarded in 1965, when she visited Hungary with two other winners. Her mother followed in 1966 after 27 years' of absence from her native country. The Toth Family is affiliated with the Magyar Presby­terian Church, where Mrs. Toth is active in the Ladies’ Guild. She is also a member of the Hungarian Ladies’ Charity Club and has many other interests such as decorating and gardening. MR. JOHN RIGO, a veteran in Hungarian Reformed church and fra­ternal life and a dedicated worker of our Federation for over forty years, resides with Mrs. Rigo at 125 Lea St., Munhall, Pa. Mr. Rigo was born in Hernád-Zsadány, County Abauj, Hungary, where he completed his elementary schooling. Upon arrival to the United States he took technical training at the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh, Pa. Mr. : two sons and three daughters. The entire Rigo family belongs to the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Homestead, Pa. of which church he is one of the founders and where he has served as an elder for many decades. Mr. Rigo is kept busy with his church, credit union and our Federation’s Branch 6 of which he is manager. MR. STEPHEN PHILLIPS (Fűlep) came to the United States from Per- benyik, County Zemplem, Czecho­slovakia, where he was born and had his elementary and high school edu­cation, taking vocational training as a machinist in Satoraljaujhely. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips are residents of Whiting, Indiana, where he was em­ployed as a machinist with the Standard Oil Company until his re­cent retirement. The Phillips couple are proud of their children, Steve and Mrs. Olga Phillips Keating, both of whom have a college education and are well established in their professional fields. For the past 29 years Mr. Phillips has been a member of the consistory of his congregation, the First United Church of Christ (Evangelical and Reformed). Fishing, hunting and woodwork are Mr. Phillips’ hobbies. An affable man he enjoys people, which is one of the reasons he has been manager of Branch 83 of our Federation for the last 14 years. May he continue in this capacity for many years to come. MRS. WILLIAM KISH has been Secretary of our Detroit Office since 1963. She has kept her feet firmly on the ground in a difficult situation and she has managed Branches 35, 241. 311 and 358 most commendably. Born in Abauj, Hungary, Mrs. Kish was only a year old when her parents immigrated to Windsor, Canada, where she had her education, finishing high school. She crossed the border in 1946 when she was mar- twin daughters now 16 and a son William who is attending Schoolcraft College. The members of the Kish family are active in the Hun­garian Reformed Church in Allen Park, Michigan, where Mrs. Kish has held offices in the Dorcas Guild and the Golden Circle Club and where she is youth advisor. She is past warder of the Eastern Star, has studied dressmaking and tailoring and is now attending classes in Government. Mrs. Kish plans to take a leave from our office to catch up on some much-needed rest, but she will remain as one of our branch agents. We wish her well and hope she will continue to serve our cause in renewed good health for many years to come! ried. The Kishes have Rigo has live children 9 I
