JOSEPH KECSKEMÉTHY: INTRODUCING OUR FIELD FORCE MR. JOHN SZABÓ of Paramus, N.J., is a second-generation Ameri­can. Born in Passaic, N.J., he had his elementary and high school educa­tion in the same city. For the last eighteen years Mr. Szabó has been working as Inspector at Quality Control. He is married to the former Elizabeth Szabó and is the father of a daughter, Elaine, recently mar­ried. The Szabó family has always been active in the life of the Hun­garian Reformed Church of Passaic, where Mr. Szabó is an elder, a member of the Choir and Brotherhood. A veteran of World War II he also is a member of the American Legion. In addition to these activities he is interested in leathercraft and plastics — and in the last five years has found time to do a good job as manager of Branch 330 of our Federation. The REV. LÁSZLÓ HUNYADI of Linden, N.J. is a native of Szamos- szeg, Transylvania. He received his elementary and secondary education in Mátészalka and Máramaros Szi­get, after which he was drafted into the Hungarian Army and fought in World War I. He immigrated to the United States in 1923, entered Franklin-Marshall College where he earned his Bachelor of Science De­gree, continuing in the F & M The­ological Seminary from where he was graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity Degree. The Rev. Hunyadi served a number of congregations throughout his career and presently is pastor of the Linden, N.J. Vicinity Free Magyar Reformed Church. An active member of the Arpad Academy, a Federation worker since 1924, organizer of Branch 251, Rev. Hunyadi now manages Branch 313 of our fraternal institution. One of our outstanding section managers MR. TIBOR DOLINSZKY was horn in Borosjenő, Arad County and is a graduate of the Catholic Gimnasium of Arad. He married his wife Terry on August 25, 1947 and together they immigrated to the United States in 1953 settling in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Dolin- szky, a citizen of his adopted country since 1958, has been assistant man­ager of the Office Supplies Depart­ment of the Rexall Drug and Chemical Company for the last twelve years. A member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Hollywood, where he is assistant Chief Elder, Mr. Dolin- szky has also held numerous offices in the Southern California Chapter of the American Hungarian Federation, is vice presi­dent of the Hungarian Cultural Society of Los Angeles, a member of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee and is active in the Young Americans for Freedom group. He was a staff member of the California Magyar Élet newsaper, has ap­peared on numerous local Hungarian radio programs and currently edits his church newspaper “Egyházi Híradó”. Mr. Dolinszky has worked for the Federation for eleven years, participated in two Federation conventions and was »warded a gold medal for ten years of faithful service. Another of our second-generation Americans MR. ABERT ST. MIK- LOSSY of Fords, N.J., was born in Keasbey, N.J. He went to school in Woodbridge, N.J., then continued his training in Business Administra­tion. Mr. and Mrs. St. Miklossy have been married for thirty-nine years and have a son, Albert R., a former air force man who served in England, and a daughter, Carol — both married. The St. Miklossys have five grandchildren who are responsible for the most joyful moments of their lives. They are active members of the Perth Amboy Hungarian Reformed Church, where he has been a member of the Church Council for 25 years, has held the office of Chief Elder and is Treasurer of the Mission Fund. He is a mason and a member of the Tall Cedars. Fishing and bowling are his special hobbies. Mr. St. Miklossy has been working for the Federation for the last ten years and is manager of our Perth Amboy Section. An employee of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. for the last twenty-two years MR. STEVE ÜVEGES of Lower Burrell, Pa., came to this country from Torna Görgő, Abauj County, Hungary, where he was born and had his schooling. He is married to the former Maria Nagy. They have five children and fifteen grandchildren. The Family Reunion, which took place on Christmas of 1965, was the outstanding event in the life of Mr. and Mrs. Üveges, when all family members were present. The Üveges couple are affiliated with the Hungarian Reformed Church of Springdale. He has been a member of the South New Kensington Volunteer Fire De­partment for the last 28 years and is interested in gardening and traveling. Manager of Branch 283, Mr. Üveges sets a good example for his branch membership since most of his children and grandchildren belong to the Federation. MRS. ROSE KÖMIVES of Colum­bus, Ohio, one of our able branch managers, took over the management of Branch 69 upon the death of her husband a few years ago. She is a high school graduate, attended Ohio State University and is at present enrolled in Business School. A clerk at the Credit Bureau of Columbus, a position she has held for more than four years, Mrs. Komives has three children: Joyce, who is mar­ried and has a son; John, in the Air Force, now stationed in Turkey; and Louie, a junior in high school. Mrs. Komives has been a life-long member of the Hungarian United Church of Christ of Columbus, is a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the Women’s Guild, former president of the Parent-Teacher Association, and a board member. She loves to bake, decorate cakes make hats, and gives of her time to help with banquets and bake sales sponsored by her Women’s Guild. 11
