4 FRATERNITY and had printed in English and Hungarian 10,000 promotional pamphlets describing our work and our various insurance plans. These have proved to be good sales tools for all our fieldmen. i) Two significant changes took place in our department during the past year: Balint Boldogh, of the underwriting office, the Federation’s oldest, most faithful and industrious employee, died in September at the age of 70. Respected and beloved by everyone, we mourned the passing of this faithful servant. The entire staff attended his funeral. The services were conducted by the pastor of Grace Reformed Church, where Mr. Boldogh was an active member, and the Secretary of our Federation. May the memory of our departed friend be blessed. (In order to honor the memory of Balint Boldogh, who served our Federation so faithfully for 38 years, I recommend that we consider and favorably act on his widow’s request to this Council.) Upon the death of Mr. Boldogh, Tibor Baksy of the auditing department applied for the vacant position. We accepted his application and were happy to place this knowledgeable office worker in our department. The other change in the department was the voluntary resignation of Mrs. Eva Lindsay after only a half year’s work. We replaced her with Mrs. Katherine Nagy, a qualified secretary, in December 1965. j) The Secretary’s staff — Anne O. Korocz, Dezső Garanyi, Tibor Baksy and Mrs. Katherine Nagy — each in his or her capacity worked faithfully and with dedication, thus serving the good of the Federation. For their conscientious work we sincerely thank and commend them. k) We had no serious disciplinary problems. In four instances we had lesser matters to be settled in connection with organizational and branch management, but these were amicably solved without ill effects. l) The triennial examination by the District of Columbia Insurance Department of our Federation’s operation is now in progress. We shall submit the examiner’s written report at the September Supreme Council meeting. m) All records in our department are in order and at the disposal of the Council members. These records and all the data are kept in good order in the underwriting room on the first floor, in the filing room on the second floor and in our storage room on the third floor. II. ORGANIZATION, PROMOTION AND OTHER SERVICES In the U. S. A., as well as in Canada, we have endeavored to promote our Federation’s fraternal work, to disseminate information about our insurance plans, to help the fieldmen in their work, to promote our general cause before the vast public to the best of our ability and with every possible means at our disposal. Our tools were: our English and Hungarian general information and insurance brochures, our official periodical, advertisements and articles carried by the church and nonsectarian press. In addition to these: nation-wide radio advertising, lectures, special radio programs, church bulletins and advertisements in
