8 FRATER NI TY MARIA DOBOZY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Dobozy, was born seventeen years ago in Kellerberg, Austria, came to the United States with her parents in 1951, lived in Kansas for two years, then moved to Trenton, New Jersey, where the Dobozy family now resides. Maria attends Trenton Central High School where she is taking a college preparatory course, plays the violin in the school orchestra and belongs to the French and Biology Clubs. Upon graduation in another year, she plans to attend Wilson, College, a Presbyterian School for women. A member of the Magyar Reformed Church, Maria is a Sunday School teacher and an active member of the church youth group. She belongs to our Federation’s Branch 20. NANCY LEE and Mrs. Alexander Szabó of Staten Island, New York, was graduated from Tottenville High School with merit on June 29, 1965. She is a Permanent Honor Roll student and a member of Arista, National Honor Society. She plans to attend classes in the fall at the State University of Albany, majoring in Psy­chology. She is a member of the Hun­garian Reformed Church of Staten Island, where she taught Sunday School for three years. She is the president of the Youth Fellowship and past treasurer for two consecutive years. She has also held office in the Eastern Area Youth Federation and is a member of the Bethlen Youth Federation. Nancy was born and raised Nancy Lee Szabó in Charleston, Staten Island, was gradu­ated from P. S. No. 4 elementary school, valedictorian of her class and winner of a Spelling Contest for five years. Her interests include tennis, ballet and sewing. She makes most of her clothes and plays the guitar. Nancy belongs to our Federation’s Branch 219. Who wouldn't be proud of such younger generation members as we have presented to our readers? We are all very proud of them, as well as of their fine parents, who, keeping the faith and nourishing in their children a love for their Hungarian heritage, were able to raise leaders for a better future. We hope that the example of these young members of our Federation will encourage others to follow in their footsteps. We shall continue to sponsor scholarship contests for the edification of our youth and we hope that by next year we may have an even larger group of winners from amongst the Younger Set!
