FRATERNITY 19 REV. DARÓCZY 28, MR. PALAGYI 22, MR. AROS 42, MR. MILLER 6, MR. VARGO 31. THE CHAIR DECLARED MR. AROS AND MR. VARGO ELECTED DIRECTORS; REV. DARÓCZY TO BE ALTERNATE FOR MR. AROS AND MR. PALAGYI FOR MR. VARGO. 98. Presented as candidate for Director from the Michigan Dis- strict was the Rev. Tibor Tóth. UPON MOTION REV. TÓTH WAS UNANIMOUSLY ELECTED DIRECTOR. MR. KÁROLY KISH WAS NOMINATED AND UNANIMOUSLY ELECTED TO BE ALTERNATE. 90. Presented as candidate for Director from the Chicago District was the Rev. Desmond Parragh, who declined. The Rt. Rev. Árpád George was nominated for Director and the Rev. Desmond Parragh to be alternate. UPON MOTION THEY WERE UNANIMOUSLY ELECTED TO THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICES. 100. All newly elected Officers and Supreme Council members were sworn in by Temporary Chairman Rev. Szőke. 101. President Borshy returned to the chair at 7:25 P. M. 102. Rev. Francis Vitéz expressed thanks to President Borshy for his excellent services of many years and moved to “surprise” him with a memorable and valuable gift. 103. While Vice President Béky occupied the chair, Controller Eszenyi moved to donate the sum of $5000 to President Borshy. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED THIS MOTION. 104. President Borshy expressed his thanks for the generous gift and declared that if possible he will bequeath same to Bethlen Home. 105. The President expressed his satisfaction over the expedient and efficient work of the Convention. He especially emphasized the precise reporting of the Recording Secretaries and the valuable work of the Press Representatives. THE CONVENTION SHOWED ITS CONCURRENCE WITH THE PRESIDENT’S REMARKS WITH APPLAUSE. 106. The Convention ordered to have the By-Laws published in both English and Hungarian. 107.
