10 FRATERNITY Many of our friends who throughout the years have been buying our cook books will notice that since the merger of the Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Congregational Christian Church, the now famous green cover was changed to read: “The Magyar United Church of Christ”. The price of the book also had to be changed to $1.25 to cover the increased cost of publication. For your copy of the Hungarian Recipes Cook Book, please mail $1.25 in cash, check or money order, payable to the Dorcas Guild, to: The Dorcas Guild Magyar United Church of Christ 119 West River Street, South Elyria, Ohio The Dorcas Guild gives heartfelt thanks to the many friends who have throughout the past bought its cook books and for the wonderful letters of gratitude. God’s hands have worked many Miracles for the little red brick church. Six years ago the books helped burn the mortgage of the then new addition to the church and now again it is the Guild’s fervent dream that through the sale of more of these cook books it can again help to purchase additional and much needed property for the further expansion of the church. Let us hope that this will bring about the Fourth Miracle . . . for the little red brick church in Elyria, Ohio! May you enjoy cooking and baking from the Hungarian Recipes Cook Book for many years to come! THE DORCAS GUILD The Dorcas Guild members in the picture are the present cook book treasurer, Mrs. Zigmond Palagyi, holding the dobos torta, and the first cook book treasurer, Mrs. Nick Ignatz, holding the platter of strudels.
