FRATERNITY 13 C) The Federation’s good wishes be extended to President Borshy on the 40th anniversary of his ordination, and be it recorded in the minutes of the Conventionn with thanksgiving and manifold blessings received from God Almighty through the life and devoted services of the Rt. Rev. George E. K. Borshy. The Convention unanimously adopted this recommendation. D) The Secretary’s report be accepted in detail and the Convention express its appreciation for his services and grant him release from his responsibilities. The Convention unanimously accepted the recommendation. 57. Rev. Csordás, secretary of the Administrative Committee, presented the proposed amended By-Laws of the Federation. (Exhibit “L”.) After considerable discussion the Convention agreed on discussing and voting on only the major amendments. They were as follows: a) Par. 14, page 2, concerning Election of Delegates, the Convention, after lengthy discussion and after a recess of 15 minutes, accepted a new proposal of the Committee according to which “each branch having a minimum adult membership of 300 shall send one delegate to the Convention. Branches having more than 300 members shall send one additional delegate for each multiple of 400 members”; the rest of the originally proposed amendment was recommended and accepted without change, by a unanimous vote Of 81. b) Par. 15, page 3, concerning Election Irregularities, was accepted unanimously by the Convention. c) Par. 38, page 6, concerning the Election of Three Vice Presidents was accepted unanimously by the Convention d) Par. 41, page 7, concerning the Investment Committee, was accepted unanimously by the Convention. e) Paragraphs 52 and 53, pages 11 and 12, concerning the Field Force, was accepted unanimously by the Convention. f) Par. 74, page 14, concerning Change of Membership from One Branch to Another, was accepted unanimously by the Convention, g) Par. 75, page 15, concerning Beneficiaries, was accepted unanimously by the Convention.
