6 FRATERNITY STATE OF OHIO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES A RESOLUTION H. R. No. 90 MR. HORVATH To congratulate Reverend Mathias Daroczy, pastor of the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church of Cleveland, Ohio, on the occasion of his forty- first anniversary as a minister. WHEREAS, It has been brought to the attention of the members of the House of Representatives of the 104th General Assembly that Reverend Mathias Daroczy, pastor of the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church, 1950 West 32nd Street, Cleveland, Ohio, will be honored by the members of his congregation on Sunday, April 16, 1961, on the occasion of his forty-first anniversary as a minister; and WHEREAS, The devoted efforts of Reverend Daroczy, since 1936, when he became pastor of the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church, have been instrumental in developing the membership of the church from sixty-three families to thirteen hundred families and expanding the physical facilities of the church from a humble beginning to its present position, making the church and Calvin Hall, built in 1947, a source of pride to every member of the congregation and the community, an expansion handled with such administrative ability that today the church is free of all financial obligations; and WHEREAS, The high esteem in which Reverend Daroczy is held by the community is indicated by his selection as past President of the National Hungarian Ministerial Association, past President of the Magyar Synod of the Evangelical Reformed Churches, member of the Supreme Council of the American-Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, Assistant Superintendent of the Bethlen Home for the Orphans and the Aged in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, and Chairman of the Financial Committee of the United Hungarian Societies during the Hungarian Refugee Resettlement Program in the years 1956, 1957, 1958, and 1959; and WHEREAS, That the magnanimous attitude displayed by Reverend Daroczy, in his public l’ife, is a true reflection of his personal convictions and is demonstrated by the fact that on this same occasion he and Mrs. Daroczy will celebrate forty years of marital harmony; therefore be it RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 104th General Assembly, adopt this resolution extending our deepest respect and esteem to Reverend Mathias Daroczy, pastor of the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church of Cleveland, Ohio, and that a copy thereof be spread upon the pages of the journal; and be it further RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this resolution to Reverend Mathias Daroczy; Bloomfield Seminary, Bloomfield, New Jersey; National Hungarian Ministerial Association; American-Hungarian Reformed Federation of America; Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pennsylvania; The Cleveland Plain Dealer; and the Cleveland Press.
