That's why we have World Refugee Year." DR. ELFAN REES, Chairman International Committee for World Refugee Year ★ ★ ★ The following groups have been added to the list of American organizations previously endorsing the aims of World Refugee Year and the program of the U. S. Committee for Refugees: BAPTIST WORLD ALLIANCE RELIEF COMMITTEE . . . Invites all of its member bodies of the Baptist World Alliance to support generously the World Refugee Year, in accordance with the wishes of the member bodies of each country, to the end that all may share in the fullest possible measure in the programs developed during the World Refugee Year on behalf of the refugees. CO-ORDINATED HUNGARIAN RELIEF . . . Resolves to support the programs planned for the World Refugee Year in cooperation with the United States Committee for Refugees, in­crease its efforts to arouse greater understanding and concern for the goals and means of assistance, and urge the executive and legislative branches of the Government as well as individual citizens to extend the necessary support toward the solution of present refugee conditions and to remove the reasons that produced them. NATIONAL COUNCIL OF CHURCHES, GENERAL BOARD . . . Specifically urges its member churches in advance of the second session of the 86th Congress, convening in January 1960, to encourage the members of the Congress to act responsibly for the problems of refugees in ways consonant with the position of the United States within the world community. The General Board urges further that the churches support through the Congress certain specified measures. UNITED AUTOMOBILE WORKERS OF AMERICA . . . Resolved that the UAW will work toward correcting the cur­rent loose administration of the law which permits vicious exploitation and victimizing of refugees by employers, and to this end committed itself to a program which will guarantee to refugees brought to this country because of their needed skills, conditions of work and wages which meet the prevailing union standards for the job.
