6 FRATERNITY Total: 96 voting members, 24 advisory members. (Exhibit “A-2”.) The above list was read off and all except Géza Megyesi and Zoltán Vajda were present. 8. The President appointed the following members of the special committee of investigation: Zoltán Béky, Gazéi Veszprémy, Stephen Szabó, Stephen Syposs, Stephen Dókus, Joseph Molnár (Trenton), Frank Jantek, Béla Böttykös, Stephen Neviczky, Mrs. Irene Benedek, Aladár Fiók. 9. The Convention, upon the Secretary’s recommendation, voted to pay a flat honorarium of $250 to each accredited member of the Convention regardless of its duration; voted to pay $30 travel allowance to members coming from within a distance of 100 miles, $60 travel allowance to members coming from beyond 100 miles distance; voted to pay 10 cents per mile for actual travel regardless of the means of transportation, also bridge and toll charges; voted to pay the actual plane fare plus $60 travel allowance to the delegates from California; voted to deduct $2 per day and per delegate for lunch; voted that the travel vouchers should be approved jointly by the Treasurer and the Auditor. 10. The President announced that the temporary chairman to preside during the elections will be elected immediately prior to the elections. 11. At 3:35 P. M., First Vice President Veszprémy occupied the chair. 12. The Convention heard the report of the President. The Convention unanimously accepted the President’s report as a whole and referred it to the respective committee for discussion. (Exhibit “B-l”.) 13. After a recess of 15 minutes President Borshy occupied the chair. The Convention heard the report of the Secretary. The Convention unanimously accepted the Secretary’s report as a whole and referred it to the respective committee for discussion. (Exhibit “B-2”.) 14. The Convention received the greetings of the American Hungarian Federation conveyed by its secretary, Mr. Béla Báchkai, who presented a copy of the Trianon Memorandum prepared by the American Hungarian Federation and printed in the June 4th issue of “The Washington Star”. Further copies were made available to the members of the Convention. Following the decision of previous conventions, it was voted to extend the support of the American Hungarian Federation by the sum of one cent per member per month for the next four years.
