The President recessed the meeting until 2 P. M. 4. After the singing of the hymn, “All Ye Servants of the Lord", the President reopened the meeting. 5. The President introduced Professor August Molnár, of Elmhurst College, who expressed his grateful thanks for the support received from the Reformed Federation granted to the Hungarian work maintained in the college for the past fifteen years. He begged the Convention to continue the usual student aid. Louis Balint, delegate, moved that the Federation start the estab­lishment of a Foundation of 100,000 dollars which would assure the maintenance of a Hungarian chair. The President expressed his appreciation of the work of Professor August Molnár, and referred his request and also the motion of Louis Balint, delegate, to the proper committee for consideration and presen­tation of a resolution to the Convention. 6. The President introduced Secretary Bela Bachkay, who in the name of the American Hungarian Federation greeted the Convention and pre­sented an exceedingly interesting review of the activities accomplished by that Federation with multiplied efforts during the past few years in the service of the universal Hungarian cause. The President expressed the thanks of the Convention for this pre­sentation received with general acclaim and called upon Secretary George E. Kerekes Borshy to present the proper resolution of the Supreme Council. Secretary Borshy, in the name of the Supreme Council, recom­mended that the Convention vote for the continuation of the present financial aid during the coming years. 7. Secretary George E. Kerekes Borshy introduced the daily order of the sessions recommended by the Supreme Council, namely, that they be from 9 A. M. to 12:30 P. M. and from 2 P. M. to 5:30 P. M. During the noon recess the members of the Convention should partake of the luncheon in the dining room of the Children’s Home. He further recommended that after the presentation of the reports of the officers and the desig­nation of the membership of the committees, the next day or at most The Convention accepted the recommendation with enthusiasm and all those present joined in the singing of the Hungarian National Anthem.
