8 FRATERNITY It is not by accident that among the six heroic figures of the Geneva Reformation monument representing the six nations that accepted the Reformed religion, it is the statue of Stephen Bocskay which represents the Hungarian nation. He was a man of fervent Reformed conviction, a great humanitarian, and thus a true Magyar. We also may learn much from him today. JOSEPH KECSKEMETHY GRADUATES FROM PITT We proudly read the following article about our talented young member, Joseph Kecskemethy, Jr.: “Joseph G. Kecskemethy, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Kecskemethy, was graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. His major was in the field of English. Mr. Kecskemethy was given special recognition as one of a group of Distinguished Military Graduates in the U. S. Army Reserve. During his four years of college, he was a trainee in the ROTC, and was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in the Reserve. He will report for active duty in June, 1957. A talented musician, Mr. Kecskemethy directed the Army ROTC Band during his junior and senior years. He has been a member of the Heinz Chapel Choir during his entire undergraduate career, having served as its president this past year. He is a charter member and vice president of Quodlibet, an honorary choral organization, new on the campus, composed of members of the various choral groups who have made outstanding contributions in the field of choral music.
