DECEMBER, 1945. (űtríBíntas Once again time brings us to December and the Christmas season. In this brief interval in our busy lives we have an opportunity to review our material and spiritual resources before being swept again into the tide of the world’s affairs. This greatest of all Festivals is a mixture of the sacred and the secular brought down through many generations and it is fitting that the secular part should be given over mostly to the children. It is their right that they should become part of the Christmas tradition for as we remember them, we will think of the Babe of Bethlehem born into a world of trouble and anguish. Yet angels sang at his birth and new hope was born into the world. So “Christmas has always been and always will be a day of hope”. In no other festival are the folk lore and customs of so many people amalgamated; thus it helps to break down the barriers of race and creed.
