JULY—AUGUST, 1944 THE ETERNAL SHEPHERD “My sheep know my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which gave them me is grater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” ★ ★ ★ Do we really believe that Christ’s sheep “shall never perish”, and that “no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand”? If we do, neither war nor destruction can shake us from our high faith, nor daunt our courage. We shall know that, though far sundered from us, those whom we have committed to God’s care cannot fall out of that care even though death may be their portion.
