Domonkosfa had been part of the Szentgotthárd District of Vas County until the Trianon Peace Treaty, then it became part of the Serb-Croatian Kingdom and then of Yugoslavia. It has been part of the village Salovci since the independence of Slovenia in 1991. One of the historical sights of the village is the Árpád-age church consecrated to Saint Martin that had probably been built before 1241, so it had been in use in the age of the Tartaric wars. In 1366 the church already belonged to the Ve lemér parish.. Its use was transferred to the Lutheran Church from 1560 to 1714. It was rebuilt in 1872 in Neo-Gothic style and it was restored in 1971-72 in the course of a survey of ancient monuments. The church is located on a hill in the southern part of the village border surrounded by a Catholic cemetery. It is built of bricks. The orientation of the Domonkosfa church indicates that the festival of its patron saint should be in April or in September. Thus, it is unlikely that Saint Martin had been the original patron saint of the church. The church consists of a nave with an apse and a spire in front of its western facade.
