After the second world war as soon as the political conditions had become normal, people in great numbers left Lendva region for chiefly Austria and Germany to be guest workers there for decades. Their children who went to school there have already assumed the citizenship of the receiving country without exception, however most of the parents returned home to their newly built, spacious family house. The pension which they get in foreign currency provides life free from cares for their old days.
