October, 1976 FIGHTE* Page 3 contact with anyone. The treaty document was submitted to them on the 15 th and the reply was demanded by the 16th. Count Albert Apponyi, the head of the Hungarian delegation, had protested the terms and requested free elections. The conference denied his request. As a result Albert Apponyi resigned from his position, refused to sign the document and made the statelanguage in public schools was forbidden and children were cruelly beaten for using their language among themselves. No one in his right mind could deny that the Western powers have intentionally planted this seed of hostility to destroy the western-most Turanian nation. And as we know the treaties of Trianon and Versailles were the very foundations of World War II. Count Albert Apponyi (1846-1933) eloquent and dignified leader of the Hungarian Delegation to the peace Conference of 1920: thereafter brilliantly represented his country at the League of Nations for an other ten years. Called in the USA “the great old man of Central Europe." He refused to sign his name to the shameful document^of Trianon Peace of 1920. ment: “The hand which signs this document should be cut off.” Following this incident the Hungarian government was forced to send another delegation with the instructions that they must sign it. Thus, on June 4, 1920 Bernárd Ágost, cabinet minister, signed this miserable document called the TRIANON PEACE TREATY! This infamous act was everything but a peace treaty. In reality it was the very seed of future hostilities. This masterpiece of the West gave the green light to the chauvinist politicians of the newly fabricated states to use police terror and persecution against the Hungarian people. The Hungarians, who have always gallantly made special efforts to provide government support to minorities for their cultural development, suddenly were second class citizens in their own land. The artificial states have launched vigorous assaults against the Hungarians in very phase paralleled by all out offensives against Hungarian schools. The use of the Hungarian TVkkHiM Hungary once more took up arms to fight for Attila’s heritage but the success was short lived. The Anglo- Saxon-SIavic imperialists who convened in Yalta, in essence reaffirm - ed the Trianon Peace Dictatum. Hungarians became slaves in the XXth Century. Those in the annexed territories have been subjected to double occupation. In 1956 the Hungarian workers and peasants once more tried to break out of the strait jacket imposed on them, but after their heroic struggle were overcome. Since Trianon and Yalta were still not enough for the West, in 1975 they once more wanted to reaffirm their position in Helsinki. In 1976 they went so far as to suggest to the Soviet Union to incorporate Hungary into the Soviet Socialist Republic as if not enough Turanians were already under the Soviet yoke. Those who are responsible for Trianon, Yalta, and Helsinki should realize that they are the real criminals of this period of history. Those who have created the tragedies of the past will have to bear consequences of the future. Whether they like it or not the NEW WORLD ORDER will be established by the Turanian People’s Alliance! Under any circumstances it will be more just than the present one! We wonder if anyone remembers the famous statement made during the Second World War: “I trattati non sono eterni!” (Peace treaties don’t last for ever). L. F. MOLNÁR The ink was not even dry on the Helsinki Accord, known as the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe, when Henry Kissinger’s official spokesman Helmut Sonnenfeldt, U.S. Department Councelor, launched his trial balloon at the meeting of the American Ambassadors to European Nations in London in mid-December, 1975, telling them that the “inorganic relationship” between Moscow and Eastern Europe based on military prowess threatened world peace. So he concluded, “it must be our policy to strive for an evolution that makes the relationship between the Eastern Europeans and the Soviet Union an organic one.” He further declared that the Kremlin relies on “the presence of sheer Soviet military power” because a “more viable organic structure is lacking and there is a great desire among Eastern Europeans to break out of Soviet strait jackets.” Sonnenfeldt felt pity for the Soviet Union to experience any problems in maintaining the colonialism in Eastern Europe and stated that “the Soviet inability to acquire loyalty in Eastern Europe is an unfortunate failure historically, because Eastern Europe is within their scope and area of natural interest. It is doubly tragic that in this area of vital interest and crucial importance it has (Con. on page 4) ELECTION RHETORIC The 1976 U.S. Presidential election debates offer many words and little substance. Both presidential candidates were preoccupied with their political image toward the electorate rather than specific programs. President Ford’s foreign policy statement has faithfully followed the Helsinki Treaty —Sonnenfeldt Doctrine —Detente policies. The President went so far in his respons to a question on Eastern Europe that he inferred that “they are not under Soviet dominination.” He used Jugoslavia, Romania and Poland as examples where Soviet troops are absent, however he had a laps of memory about Hungary, East Germany and Czechoslovakia. Governor Carter exhibited some concern over the sell out of Eastern Europe to the Soviets and stated he would return the foreign policy decision making to the Congress of the United States and the American People. WHERE DID THE NAME PALESTINE COME FROM? The answer is given by Hindson, E. Edward in his book: The Philistines and the Old Testament. On page 13 the book quotes Michell, T. C. page 988 of the New Bible Dictionary. “The land of the Philistines also became known as Philistia (peleset). Mitchell says that it is from this term that the modern name Palestine is derived. He also states that this term is to be identified with the Egyptian prst and the Assyrian palastu. ” The Hungarian (Sumerian) word palást is in correlation with this ancient name.
