Hal cell layer. We couldn’t find any correlation between the parameters of the previous operations and the formation of retrocorneal membranes.

Conclusion: One of the causes of late graft failure after penetrating keratoplasty is the formation of retrocorneal membranes and we can find them even in the era of modern microsurgical techniques. We need a larger prospective study to clarify the factors leading to retrocorneal membrane formation.

Conjunctivalis lymphoma és elkülönítő diagnózisa

Az extranodalis lymphomák közel 8%-át az ocularis adnexumok malignus lymphomája alkotja.

A conjunctivalis lokalizációjü forma túlnyomó többségben primer low-grade В-sejtes MALT (mucosa associated lymphatic tissue) változatban fordul elő.

A modern hisztopatológiai vizsgálómódszerek segítségével a conjunctivalis lymphoma patofiziológiájának újabb tényezőit ismerhetjük meg, immunfenotípusos jellemzőik és molekuláris biológiájuk mellett.

Összefoglalónkkal a conjunctiva terápiarezisztens elváltozásaira hívjuk fel a figyelmet - eseteink kapcsán -, amelyek oka olykor vérképzőszervi malignoma ritka esete lehet.

Conjunctival lymphoma - differential diagnosis

Aims: Introducing certain cases of therapy resistant conjunctival lesion, our aim is to attract the attention on possible underlying malignant haemopoietic diseases of the ocular adnexa.

Patients and methods: Two cases of chronic conjunctivitis were investigated and considered as conjunctival lymphoma.

Results: By means of modern histopathologic examining methods the latest aspects of conjunctival lymphomas' pathophysiology, immunophenotypic features and molecular biology can be better understood.

Conclusions: Nearly 8% of extranodal lymphomas show ocular adnexal localization. Rare cases of malignant lymphoma can masquerade as chronic conjunctival inflammation.
