143. évfolyam (2006) Supplementum I. m 45 Recurrent chemosis and suffusion after filtering-bleb operation in a soft contact-lens wearing patient: Case study Gyula Gonda, Ágnes Makay Flór Ferenc County Hospital, Kistarcsa, Ophthalmic Department We report the case of a 49-year-old female patient, who subsequent to a filtering-bleb operation presented with recurrent circumscribed chemosis and suffusion on both eyes. She wore Sofiens Multifocal type soft contact lenses, and had worn soft contact lenses for 11 years because of -3.5D myopia. Incipient subcapsular cataract was noted in her anamnesis. The patient had had trabeculectomy due to simplex type glaucoma on her left eye in February 2005, and on her right eye in May 2005. Subsequent to the wound healing of the trabeculectomy she again started to wear soft contact lenses; however she several times suffered a circumscribed chemosis and suffusion, which was initially a differential diagnostic problem for us. With use of a different type of soft contact lens (Sofiens 66), which had a different base curve, diameter, and material, the signs did not recur. We consider the case worthy of presentation since as far as we know no similar case has yet been reported. Our case represents a rare but interesting differential diagnostic problem. Kontaktlencse viselés keratoplastica után keratoconusos betegek esetében. Görög Katalin Semmelweis Egyetem, Szemészeti Klinika, Tömő utcai részleg, Budapest Célkitűzés: 10 év beteganyagának retrospektiv áttekintésével a keratoconus betegségben szenvedők látásrehabilitációjáról kívántam képet kapni - különös tekintettel a keratoplasticán átesett betegekre. Anyag és módszer: Eseteinkből három csoportot képeztem (keratoconusos beteg, keratoplasticán átesett, keratoplasticán átesett és újra kontaktlencsével rehabilitált). Cornea állapotukat (réslámpa, topográf, keratometer), látásélességüket, kétszemes együttlátásukat, kontaktlencse viselési szokásaikat, elégedettségi szintjüket hasonlítottam össze. Eredmény: A keratoconus, mint krónikus, a beteget élete végéig elkísérő betegség számos életviteli nehézséget okoz. A keratoplastica általában igen pozitív fordulatot eredményez. A kontaktlencse viselés sok esetben a keratoplastica után is szükséges a megfelelő látásélesség, vagy a kétszemes együttlátás kialakításához. Contact lens wear following keratoplasty in patients with keratoconus Katalin Görög Semmelweis University, Budapest, Department of Ophthalmology (Tömő St.) Aim: by reviewing 10 years of experiences with our patients, to get a picture of the visual rehabilitation of patients suffering from keratoconus, with special regard to those who had undergone keratoplasty. Patients and methods: Our cases were arranged into 3 groups, namely: a.) those with keratoconus, b.) those who had undergone keratoplasty, c.) those rehabilitated with use of contact lens following keratoplasty. Reports were prepared to allow comparisons of the condition of the cornea (based on results of examinations with slit lamp, corneal topography, and keratometer), the visual acuity and binocular vision ability, as well as contact lens wear habits and level of satisfaction.
