Szemészet Supplementum I. KOSZONTO 140. évfolyam (2003) 3 Kedves kollégák, kedves barátaim! Az egészségügyi ellátás minden területén a rohamos szemléletváltás tanúi vagyunk. A komputertechnológia a tudományos adatgyűjtés és feldolgozás lehetőségén túl mindennapi létünk részévé vált. Reményeim szerint ez a szemléletváltás tükröződik majd a Stefánia Palotában, Budapesten 2003-ban megrendezésre kerülő évi kongresszusunkon is. Ez a kongresszus a részt vevő tudományos társaságok és szekciók révén vélhetően magába foglalja az aktuális kérdések majd minden területét. Reméljük és bízunk abban, hogy kongresszusunk sikere segíti az egységes magyar szemorvoslás fejlődését. A Magyar Szemorvostársaság nevében szeretném kifejezni köszönetemet mindazoknak, akik javaslataikkal támogatták és részvételükkel segítik az eredményes szakmai együttműködést, ami nélkül ez a találkozó nem lehetne sikeres. Kongresszusainkon tanúi lehetünk annak, hogy az ismétlődő problémák új köntösben, valamelyest mindig magasabb színvonalon jelennek meg, és ösztönzőleg hatnak a továbbfejlődésre. Ezen túl a szemészeti gyógyszer- és eszközgyártás legjobbjai forgalmazóikon keresztül képviseltetik magukat, amely szintén fontos, új információk forrása. Budapest, gyönyörű fővárosunk, a tudományos és társadalmi együttlét helyszínein kívül még más meglepetéseket is tartogat az érdeklődők számára. Bízom benne, hogy szívélyes üdvözletemmel sokakat köszönthetek majd a megnyitón. Budapest, 2003. február 21. Hatvani István A Magyar Szemorvostársaság elnöke WELCOME MESSAGE Dear Colleagues and Friends, Today, we are witnessing rapid and significant changes in all fields of health care. To mention just one aspect: computer technology, besides its invaluable contributions in the field of scientific data-collection and processing, now plays an important role in most of our work and even in our private lives. I hope and anticipate that the most up-to-date approaches will be „displayed” in the Stefánia Palace, Budapest, where our annual Congress takes place in 2003. With the participation of scientific societies and special-interest sections, we hope that this Ophthalmology Congress will cover current issues in almost all fields of the subject. The success of the Congress will undoubtedly contribute to the progress of Hungarian ophthalmology in a rapid and unified fashion. On behalf of the Hungarian Ophthalmological Society, I would like to express my gratitude to those who have encouraged fruitful professional co-operation with their valued opinions, or contributed to it with their participation - which is the key to the success of this meeting. At our congresses we have often found that common problems emerge in different guise at a somewhat higher level, thus stimulating new insights and developments. Furthermore, leading producers of therapeutic materials and devices related to ophthalmology will be represented here, and this is an additional valuable resource for up-to-date information. Besides the venues of the scientific programme and social events themselves, our vibrant capital city Budapest has numerous treasures waiting to be discovered by those with interest and time. During the course of the Congress, I look forward to being able to greet a significant proportion of the total number of members of our profession.
