В интересах разработки единого взгляда на этот вопрос, рекомендует применение новой классификации (International Classification of Retinopathy of Prematurity 1984). The author is reporting on the examination methods which were introduced in the Ophthalmological Department of University Medical School, Debrecen (Hungary) for screening the premature infants for retinopathy and the optimal period for an active treatment of the condition. The use of “International Classification of Retinopathy of Prematurity 1984” is recommended as basis to an uniformly accepted conception of the problem in Hungary. The evolution of the alteration is demonstrated with original photos. I.
