Összehasonlítást tesz a klasszikus sebészi eljárás és az általa kidolgozott solaris cauterisatio között. Ez utóbbit egyszerűbbnek, eredményesebbnek és veszélytelenebbnek tartja. A látóélesség jobb oldalon 0,08-ról 0,5-re bal oldalon 0,02-ről 0,4-re javult.

D. Vörösmarthy: Iridotomy and Iridocapsulotomy by Solar Cauterisation.

Solar iris cauterisation devised by author, and his own apparatus constructed for this operation, are described. In a 9-year old child, he performed, in one stage, photocoagulation iridotomy on the right, and photocoagulation iridocapsulotomy on the left side. The comparison of the classic procedure and his solar cauterisation has shown that latter is more efficient, simple, and less dangerous. Vision improved on the right side from 0.08 to 0.5, on the left side from 0.02 to 0.4.

Verfasser beschreibt das von ihm bearbeitete solare Iris-Kauterisationsverfahren und seinen zu der Durchführung geeigneten Apparat. Bei einem 9 jährigen Kind wurde mit einem Sitz an der rechten Seite Photokoagulations-Iridotomie und an der linken Seite Photokoagulations-Iridokapsulotomie durchgeführt. Das klassische chirurgische Verfahren wird mit der von Verfasser bearbeiteten solaren Kauterisation verglichen. Verfasser hält letztere für einfacher, erfolgreicher und gefahrloser. Die Sehschärfe verbesserte sich an der rechten Seite von 0,08 auf 0,5, an der linken Seite von 0,02 auf 0,4.

A Szemész Szakcsoport ezévi Nagygyűlését 1960. október 6-án, 7-én és 8-án tartja a budapesti II. sz. szemklinikán.
