2015 / 6. szám - TANULMÁNYOK - Anderle Ádám: A Rajk-per spanyolországi előzményei

A RAJK-PER SPANYOLORSZÁGI ELŐZMÉNYEI 1361 ON THE RAJK TRIAL’S ANTECEDENTS IN SPAIN by Ádám Anderle (Summary) After World War II, following the Soviet example, there was a political purge in the Eastern European countries that were under Communist governments. Many of the victims were from the highest ranks of the Communist parties. In Hungary 155 people were convicted in the show trial of „László Rajk and his associates”. One of the charges against Rajk and a group of his associates - who were all former brigadists - was „Trockyist deviation” during the Spanish Civil War. This study, based on the formerly secret fonds of the Hungarian Political Police and the relevant documents of the Comintern and the KGB as well as utilizing the information of the Spanish-Catalonian historiography and the memoirs of the Hungarian brigadists analyses this „Spanish thread” putting a special emphasis on Ernő Gerö’s negative role in the events.
