A két világháború között itt működött a munkás szakszervezetek székhelye, valamint az épület Uránia termében egy mozi. A filmszínház tovább működött a kommunizmus évei alatt is Popular (Népi) mozi néven. A Ştefan cel Mare (Kazincy) utcai épületet szecessziós stílusban építették kétszintesre: földszint és emelet. A főhomlokzatot az emelet széles ablakai uralják, melyek között ión fejezetű fél oszlopok állnak. A főhomlokzat háromszögű timpanonján látható az építés éve. A főhomlokzat tetejének központi részén két tornyocska áll.

The House of Craftsmen

One of the characteristics of the economic life of Satu Mare was the presence of guilds, starting from the early modern period. Representing a considerable financial power, these associations used to organize cultural events, each being considered as great attraction in the social life of the city. In 1912, the associations of craftsmen initiated the construction of a building to be the home of these events. The task was given to architect Pál Tóásó, who created a monumental building, arranged around a huge saloon, on the upper level. During the interwar period, the building hosted the labours' unions, and a cinema too. The latter functioned in the Uran/a-room.The cinema continued to function even during the communist period having the name of the People's Cinema.The two-leveled building located in the Ştefan cel Mare street was constructed in Secession style. The image of its main faţade is dominated by the series of large windows on the second level, delimited by columns with Ionic-styled capitals. On the triangular gable of the faţade, the year of the construction is engraved. The roof of the central part of the building, ends in two turrets.
