Cărei. Biserica ortodoxă „Sf. Arhangheli Mihail şi Gavril”

A fost ridicată începând cu anul 1752, de comunitatea locală. Cutremurul din anul 1834 a produs mari pagube întregii biserici, fiind necesare reparaţii capitale.

Construcţia este din cărămidă, iniţial fiind acoperită cu şindrilă. Edificiul are planul treflat, cu o singură navă, absida fiind semicirculară. Cele două abside sunt încoronate cu câte un turnuleţ. Catapeteasma este sculptată din lemn de tei, cu o dantelărie realizată în stil bizantin şi câteva elemente baroc. Icoanele împărăteşti respectă erminia bizantină. Sculptura este poleită cu foiţe din metal aurit.

Turnul este decroşat şi are trei nivele, ultimul fiind prevăzut cu un ceas. Coiful este din tablă, cu lanternă şi bulb caracteristic stilului baroc. (DB).

1752-ben kezdte építeni a helyi közösség. Az 1834-es földrengés nagy károkat okozott a templomban, így komoly felújítás volt szükséges. A téglaépületet eredetileg zsindellyel fedték. Az épület egyhajós, félköríves szentéllyel, és a hajóhoz csatlakozó két oldalapszissal, amelyeket egy-egy tornyocska koronáz. Az ikonosztázt hársfából faragták, áttört díszítése bizánci stílusú, néhány barokk motívummal. Az alapképek követik a bizánci hagyományokat. A faragványok aranyozottak. A templom tornya háromszintes, a felsőn óra is helyet kapott. Pléhborítású sisakja, a barokk stílusra jellemzően, ívelt profilú, lanternával. (DB).
