Problema minorităţilor etnice din România 199 schools, wich, as opposed to the state ones, were expected be better escape the supervision of the state. The main minorities of interwar Romania were not satisfied with the legal and practical arrangements made by the Romanian Government under the treaties for minorities. It is hardly necessary to underline that in minorities affairs the Romanian Minister for Foreign Affairs kept up a permanent correspondence with the Romanian representative at the League of Nations and the Offices and inspectors on minorities status. Romania got effectively integrated within the structures of the League. There were close relations between her Government and the Committees and high officials of this international body. Constant and sincere efforts were made by both the League and the Romanian Government to find solutions for the different problems they were faced with.
