With the selections of this catalogue we intend to be successful, to be representative both thematically and in terms of technique and art or origin of the religious painting. Although the various icons that cannot be assigned to schools is extremely difficult to detect without presenting the entire collection, we hope the selection made based on the variety of subjects, dating and artistic value of the representation will complete successfully the picture of the collection of icons of the Satu Mare County Museum.
