Micula Nouă - Assumption of Virgin Mary Orthodox Church

in a classical-style, is a true ornament of the church, being deigned in 1905 by the foreman Kerékgyártó István of Debrecen. Micula Nouă Micula Nouă originally belonged to the village Micula, becoming a separated the village in the 50s, it is mainly inhabited by the colonists that came in 1925. In 1973 the village had 500 inhabitants, in 120 houses; it had a school with I to VIII graders (now no longer working), a community center and a shop. Nowadays the village has about 400 inhabitants of which 263 are Orthodox and the rest of them are Pentecostals and Seventh Day Adventists. Assumption of Virgin Mary Orthodox Church The original church was built in clay and straw by the colonists settled here. 1973 is the year of the foundations of the walls of the new church, which was consecrated only in 1991. Administratively, it was a subsidiary of churches of Micula and Lazuri until 2006 when it became an independent parish.
