Demography The village Certeze, located in northwestern of Romania, Satu Mare, is made up of three villages: Certeze (village residence), Huta Certeze (in Slovak L'udovítove údolie) and Moişeni. Its territory, crossed by streams Valea Albă and Valea Rea, is located in the northern part of geographical depression Oaş, in a beautiful mountainous area dominated by mountains Oaş - Gutái. The village Certeze (in Hungarian Avasújfalu, German Neudorf) is bordered by:- North with Ukraine (25 km from the border);- South with town of Negreşti Oaş;- South-East with county of Maramureş;- East, North-East with county of Maramureş;- West - village of Bixad The módúméit of the unknown hero - Certeze The distance to the center of the county is 54 km, going through DN19 which, passing through Certeze to Sighetu Marmaţiei, leaves the county of Satu Mare at Huta (named since 1967 "Sâmbra oilor"), height 578 m, meeting place between volcanic mountains Oaş and Igniş. As a result of post-volcanic activity, there have been formed numerous mineral springs in the area, called by the locals "borcuturi", the most numerous ones in Cereteze area. LabdEape jCerteze
