Thus, the church “The Assumption of the Holy Virgin” of Novoseliţa, dating from the 17th century, is located in the center of the locality and is considered one of the most important architectural monuments in Ukraine. It is the smallest wooden church built in the Gothic style, among the churches of the county of Ugocea, but at the same time, it is the most dynamic of them, with a tall tower. It was built by the craftsman Kocialovech, in 1669. The architectural decorations are also wonderful. The church preserves the painting from the inside, dating from the 19th century, which is unique in the Ukrainian painting of the Gallic school. A new iconostasis was built on the eastern wall in the rococo style at the beginning of the 19th century. The church and painting were restored by specialists from Lvov in the years 1979- 1981. The Calvinist Church of Giula, was built of stone in the 15th century. It is one of the most important and oldest ecclesiastical monuments on the territory of the former county of Ugocea.
