Lobont Puscas Maria - Dobrescu Adela: Biserica de lemn din Soconzel (Satu Mare, 2010)
Pridvorul deschis are şase stâlpi cu căpiţele cioplite şi arcade la grinzi şi se găseşte pe latura de vest. Din pridvor, intrarea în biserică se face printr-un portal din lemn, frumos sculptat despre care bătrânii satului spun că ar fi aparţinut vechii mănăstiri amplasate pe dealul dinspre Cuţa. Motivele sculptate pe portal sunt cele pe care le putem regăsi pe portalurile bisericilor de lemn din nord-vestul Transilvaniei. Compoziţia portalului bisericii este una deosebită şi îmbină motivul funiei cu cel al rozetei şi al crucii. Cele două funii urmăresc îndeaproape forma portalului, partea dintre cele două motive fiind bogat sculptată. In cele două colţuri avem dispuse două cruci încadrate de câte două rozete. The church porch is situated on the west side and it has six pillars, carved extremities and arched beams. The entrance in the church is made through a beautiful carved wooden portal. Old people say the portal would have belonged to the ancient monastery situated on the hill towards Cuţa. The carved motifs on the portal are common in entire North-Western Transylvania. The motifs on the portal are impressive: the rope motif, the rosette and the cross motifs. The two ropes frame the shape of the portal and the inside part is richly carved. There are two crosses in both corners of the portal framed by two rosettes.
