A MÁRAMAROSSZIGETI BORROMEO SZENT KÁROLY PLÉBÁNIATEMPLOM FESTMÉNYEINEK RESTAURÁLÁSA

Abstract: In the year of 1730 Piarist monks in front with Crisostom lay down the foundations of a solid catholic community. As a direct result to this act on the 28th of March 1736 the foundation stone of the church is set in the city center of the town of Sighet, constructing soon a monastery, a Piarist school and a parish house. The parish was being led the Piarists Monk Order up until 1780, after which all the activities were taken over by the diocesan priests. The church from an architectural standpoint is built in baroque style, shaped in a single boat like hallway, having a principal altar in the middle and six lateral altars. In the current study we will present the restoration process and results of the 3 pictures that are property of the above-mentioned church:

1. The picture of the Armenian altar, dedicated to Saint Gregory the Enlightener.

2. The altar picture dedicated to Saint Joseph ofCalasanz

3. The picture of the Descent from the Cross

Rezumat: în anul 1730 călugări piarişti înfrunte cu Crisostom pun bazele unei comunităţi catolice solide, în urma căreia pe 28 martie 1736 depun piatra de temelie a bisericii din centrul oraşului Sighet, urmând să construiască o mănăstire, şcoala piaristă şi casa parohială. Parohia este condusă de către Ordinul Călugăresc Piarist până în anul 1780, după care toate activităţile sunt preluate de către preoţii diecezani. Biserica, din punct de vedere arhitectural este realizată în stil baroc, formată dintr-o singură navă, în interior având pe lângă altarul principal încă şase altare laterale. In lucrarea de faţă vă prezentăm restaurarea a trei picturi, care aparţin acestei biserici, ele fiind următoarele:

1. pictura altarului armean, dedicat Sfântului Grigore Iluminatorul

2. pictura de altar dedicat Sfântului Iosif de Calasanz

3. pictura Coborârea de pe Cruce

2015. évben, a tulajdonosok felkérésére a Szatmárnémeti Római Katolikus Püspökség restauráló műhelye megkezdte a Borromeo Szent Károly templom művészeti értékeinek restaurálását. Jelen írásunkban három oltárképet mutatunk be.

Az egyházközség rövid története

A plébánia pontos alapítási éve nem ismeretes, de első templomát Szent Imre tiszteletére szentelték fel, ami feltehetően 1050 és 1150 között épült. Máramarossziget plébániája hitújításkor a reformátusoké lett, majd 1730-ban alapították újra és a piarista atyákra bízták. 1780-ig
