Prin analiza termenilor folosiţi în studiile arheologice, ca graniţă, frontieră, zone de frontieră, situaţii de frontieră, autorul prezintă şi o scurtă istorie a relaţiilor între cele două sate, de la înfiinţarea graniţei din 1918 până în prezent. Relaţiile sociale, legăturile familiale au avut de suferit de-a lungul anilor de existenţă a graniţei, dar nu s-au stins, iar după schimbările politice din cele două ţări de la sfârşitul anilor '80, aceste relaţii s-au restabilit din plin. Two villages in border state Abstract The paper tries to present new approaches to the anthropological border and frontier studies in the context of the analyses of two villages situated on the Hungarian-Romanian border. The analysis of terms like boundary, border, frontier, borderland is made through a short presentation of the relationship of the two communities, from the establishment of the frontier in 1918, till 2002. Social relations have changed radically over eight decades, but they never ceased, and as consequence of the sweeping political changes that occurred in both countries the relationship tightened between the two villages. 347
