Archaeologicalfinds of the late Bronze Age and middle Iron Age from the boundary of the villages of Foieni-Berea-Ciumeţti (Satu Mare County). Research conducted for the retrieval of archaeological material during work carried out by Romtelecom Abstract The villages Foieni, Berea, Ciumeţti, and Sanislău are positioned on the boundary of the Plain of Nir (Nyírség) and the Plain of Carei, and are separated by a small brook called Valea Neagră (Mogyorós). This area was intensively populated in antiquity. During the work carried out by Romtelecom, research was undertaken for the retrieval of archaeological material at Foieni on the road towards Berea (left side), Foieni/ Berea — Sulte'sz tag (B. IXa), Dolláros (B. IXb), also on the road towards Berea and the center of the village Ciumeţti, next to the Ciumeţti — Sanislău road, the right side close to the localprotestant church. At the site called Foieni-road towards Berea a trench was dug (no. 7) of 6x1,5 m, several trenches, S1 — S6, were made at Sulte'sz tag with a total length of 48 m, and at Ciumeţti S1 had 10x1,5 m.
