Ursache Petru, Etnoestetica, Institutul European, Iaşi, 1998 Traditional Symbols in Romanian Wedding (Summary) The work is presenting three traditional symbols that have a major significance in the rites that accompanies whole nuptial ceremonial, respectively the bride coronet, the knot - shaped bread and the wedding flag. Even if at the first view, they may seem only stage objects, through the significance in the wedding, they get symbol power, without these being impossible the wedding. The coronet, the flag and the knot - shoped bread are present, also, in nuptial poems, between these symbols being an interdependence, that means perfection, homogeneousness and plenty, the connection between the Divine and the Human sphere.
