Barina, Zoltán: The herbarium of Endre Jeney (1934-2004). I. Pteridophyta

Hungary; Regéc: Ördög-völgy (Zemplén Mts), 11.06.1955, 52548. Hungary; Várgesztes: Nagy-Kutya-orom (Vértes Mts), 200 m, 27.05.1983, 52527, 52554. Poland; Bialowieza forest (Bialystok Region), 31.07.1963, 52526. Romania (Transylvania); Gyergyószentmiklós (Gheorgheni): eastern slope of Mt Gyilkos-kő, in spruce forest (Gyergyói-havasok, Muntii Giurgeului), 1,200 m, 24.07.1995, 52534. Romania (Transylvania); Gyergyószentmiklós (Gheorgheni): Fehér-mező, in spruce forest (Gyergyói-havasok, Muntii Giurgeului), 1,400 m, 08.06.1956, 52545. Romania (Transylvania); Tekerő brook, eastern slope of Mt Feketerez (Gyergyói-havasok, Muntii Giurgeului), 1,200 m, 26.07.1995, 52529. Marsilea quadrifolia L. Hungary; Eger: open air swimming-pool (Bükk Mts), 11.10.1955, 52489. Hungary; Tata: Réti-halastavak (fishpond) (Kisalföld), 120 m, 22.10.1993, 52490. From the area of the Little Hungarian Plain this is the only report on the species; however, in the manuscripts of Endre Jeney there is a note reporting that he saw this species also in the garden of József Kugli. From the mentioned garden of aquatic plants near the town of Tata several aquatic plants have escaped (see BARINA 2006), thus the probability that Marsilea got into Réti-halastavak (fish pond) cannot be excluded. After VOJTKÓ (2001), only one herbarium sheet of this species is known from Eger (collected by Boros in 1959); the collection of Jeney precedes this with 4 years. Matteuccia struthiopteris (L.) Tod. Hungary; Nagyhuta: Kemence-patak, Kőkapu (Zemplén Mts), 350 m, 12.06.1955, 52335. Notholaena marantae (L.) Desv. H Lingary; Tapoka: Szent György-hegy (Balaton-felvidék), 400 m, leg.: Siroki, Z, 26.08.1955,52488. Ophioglossum vulgatum L. Hungary; Bátorliget: Fényi-erdő, in forest (Nyírség), 06.06.1957, 52512. Hungary; Debrecen: Haláp, in forest (Nyírség), 80 m, 26.05.1953, 52513. RÉV et al. (2006) reported this species among the taxa extinct from Fényi-erdő.
