dum in sample 6 is the result of such a contamination. Anyway, appearance of such number of spe­cies proves that this phenomenon must be rare (contamination with 8 new species in one occasion is very unlikely). As we can see in Table 3 disappearance of species is not rare at all (e.g. Chlo­rella homosphaera from samples 6 and 8).
