Hably, Lilla: The relation between Pb-pollution along mainroads and the trace element-composition in soil and vegetation (Examination of section rectangular to M3 mainroad)

to it, parallel with our section there is a row of planted poplars which were also sampled. The grass along the mainroad cannot be considered native grass cover because agricultural cultivation and mainroad building left only such a narrow place for it, that mostly cosmopolitan roadside species thrive in it. It does not contain natural plant assemblages. The whole of the plantage shows antropogene influence partly through tree plantation, partly through agricultural cultivation. Sampling from plants For the examination of the trace element composition of surface vegetation, samples from several species were collected and classified also according to organs. The plants selected for examination were partly cultured, partly wildgrown. (Several plant samples coming from each soil-section have been specially numbered.) 6.
