Sárospatak, 1999. 227-231. The emblematic coat of arms of the College once decorated the facade of the Beleznay Row of buildings. Its inscription read: “In offering this building to the use of the nascent youth so that they may acquire knowledge in worthy disciplines, the former and respected General Miklós Beleznay intended it to be foremost a dormitory for children of the noble classes and thus began its construction in the year 1713 with the sum of three thousand Hungarian forints." In the Bible held in the angel’s hand can be seen the reference -Revelation 14:7- to the motto of the College, “Fear God and give him glory” as well as a reference to Psalm 127, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain."
