ABSTRACT „Szeresd...!" Az emberi méltóság elve és az ezt megalapozó etikai parancsok az Ószövetségben “Love...” The Principle of Human Dignity and the Underlying Ethical Commands in the Old Testament In commemoration of József Schweitzer, the honorary teacher of the Reformed Theological Academy in Sárospatak, this study explores the ethical warrants substantiating the principle of human dignity in the Old Testament. The foundation of jurisdiction consists of the moral communion of the members of society. This means, that humans accept an ethical minimum, and acknowledge its instructions as observable. In plural society a plurality of ethical instruction emerges, but it reaches back to the common foundation, to the Old Testament ethical rules, taken in the terms of the „love your neighbor as yourself” command. József Schweitzer defined „neighbor” comprehending all human being, and built Jewish-Christian relations in accordance with this interpretation. 2016 -1 Sárospataki Füzetek 20. évfolyam 63
