Hálaadó úrvacsorái imádságok szertartásba, éppen olyan távoli az egység ma és a jövendőben, mint volt a 19. század közepén és a 20. század elején. Évszázados szokása reformálóinknak a reformáció korabeli ad fontes humanista elv mellőzése. így legyen-e továbbra is? Elég a legutóbbi kiadástól vagy reformtól elindulnunk? Megemlíti egyszer Ravasz László a Pataki Agendát, akkor is évszám és pontos cím nélkül.52 Sűrűn közöl annyit Agendája, hogy egyes imádságok átdolgozása francia és genfi ágendákat követ, de a harmincnál is több említéshez sehol nem közöl címadatot vagy megjelenési évet.53 Századokig használt imádságok is tartoznak szertartásaink múltjába, hitvalló gyökereinkhez. Példatárunkból ezután is töröljük mindet, közöljünk csupa korszerűnek és mainak vélt szerzeményt? Aggódnunk kell azért is, és nyomoznunk is kell az okát, hogy a mostanában született imádságokból miért hiányzik az a sugárzó erő, amiért ezeket a hálaadásokat Révész Bálint megőrizte. ABSTRACT Thanksgiving Communion Prayers The Communion Service of the Reformed Church in Hungary included prayers of consecration and benediction over the elevated bred, and also over the vine, in addition to the words of institution. However, in printed form these prayers are first documented in 1658. Later and earlier versions were in use also up to the 20th century, without detecting the background of them in liturgical studies. The present paper cleared up that the author of the 19th century version, included in the order of 1929, had been the reverend professor Bálint Révész (1816—1891), who perhaps knew and used earlier forms and sources. Other printed and manuscript examples are also quoted from the 17th—19th centuries to illustrate the textual variants and differences in opinions. A traditional thanksgiving prayer, used in postcommunion, is known in printed form only since 1621, but we can compare its text with other prayers which date back to the 16th century, so this one also may have been used in lost formulas decades earlier. This item became neglected later, as the order of 1929 deleted its use. It seems to be important for the future to trace older forms.
