A prófétai igehirdetés modellje Ravasz László Homíletika könyvében Abstract “I believed; therefore I have spoken” - the model of prophetic preaching in László Ravasz’s Homiletics. Bishop László Ravasz was undoubtedly the greatest of Hungarian practical theologians in the 20th century. One of his most famous books is his Homiletics, which was written and published 100 years ago, in 1915. On this anniversary a conference was held in the Ráday College, Budapest on 25 March 2015. This essay - with its theme; prophetic preaching — was one of the co-lectures at this conference. In Ravasz’s teaching, prophetic preaching has twofold importance. First, it’s a biblical paradigm for Christian preaching. A prophet in the Bible - either in the Old or in the New Testament — is a special preacher, whose person becomes inseparable from the truth proclaimed by him. Second, prophetic preaching is a model and norm for Christian sermons in three ways: 1) the prophet lives in a living and inner communion with God; 2) his preaching must be understandable for his listeners; 3) he must proclaim God’s Word forcefully (with dynamis), but not forcibly. These principles are reflected in Ravasz’s whole life-work, above all in his later sermons. Ravasz’s book is worthy to be read nowadays. 2015-4 Sárospataki Füzetek 19. évfolyam 77
