Scholarships and Donations. Due to the generosity of our members the Kossuth Club has given the following scholarships and donations so far this year:

Summer Programs. The Community Foundation of Sarasota County provides a new venue for Kossuth Club programs. This beautiful new building is located just west of the intersection of Fruitville and Tuttle Roads at 2635 Fruitville Road. It has comfortable seating, technical capability for projection of movies, courteous assistance and parking for more than 80 cars. We have planned two meetings here this summer and call your attention to mark the dates and the location on your calendars! The new place provides more flexibility to plan future meetings but we will continue to use both the Selby and the Gulf Gate Libraries, so please pay attention to the announcement of future meetings.

Thursday, June 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Inaugural meeting in the Community Foundation of Sarasota County building (2635 Fruitville Road). The program features an interview of the Budapest Radio Kossuth with Eva Kisvarsanyi about the Kossuth Club that was broadcast in Hungary on February 28th. and impressions about Hungarian life in 2007. Refreshments will be served.

Monday, July 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Our guest is Dr. Márta Mátrai,

Congresswoman from Kaposvár in the Hungarian Parliament (Fidesz Party). Dr. Mátrai will talk about how democracy works in Hungary 17 years after the exit of the occupying Soviet army and the collapse of Communism.
