The Hungarian Christian Church of Sarasota will hold its November service on Sunday, November 7 at 3:00 PM in the Church of the Cross, 3005 South Tuttle Avenue. The Reverend Péter Pál Bodor will officiate. There will be coffee and pastries served after the service and everyone are welcome. Fall Banquet, On Saturday, November 13 at 11:30 AM we’ll have our annual fall banquet at Michael’s on East in Sarasota (1212 East Avenue South), The price of $25 includes a salad, choice of sauteed breast of chicken or grilled tilapia, potatoes, fresh asparagus, bread, vanilla ice cream-filled cream puff, coffee and tea There will be a cash bar. The musical program features soprano Ibi Simon, guitarist Zoltán Balogh and pianist Zsolt Petin. They will perform light classical music (operetta) and Hungarian folk songs after the luncheon Please mail your registration to the Kossuth Club (P O Box 19774, Sarasota, FL 34276) no later than November 9 and indicate whether you would like the chicken or the fish as your entree. Thanksgiving Organ Concert. Concert organist Bálint Karosi will give a recital on Friday, November 26 at 7:30 PM in The Church of the Redeemer Ticket donations of $10 at the door will benefit the Kossuth Club’s scholarship fund.
