You are cordially invited to join us Thursday, December 18 at 4:30 PM in the Selby Public Library for our annual Christmas party. The program features The Amazing Hartley, magician extraordinnaire from Toronto who is guaranteed to entertain you in style. Refreshments will be served after the program. Preview of Programs in 2004. The following programs are subject to change but the dates at the Selby Library have been reserved for the Kossuth Club. Tickets $5 each. • Wednesday, January 14 at 8:00 PM in the Florida Grand Opera (1200 Coral Way, Miami, FL 33145, phone 1-800-741-1010) American Premiere of Ede Donáth’s opera “SzulamiL ” • Thursday, January 22 at 4:30 PM in the Selby Public Library (1331 First Street, Sarasota) year-end review and election of directors for 2004. • Tuesday, January 27 in Naples, organ recital by Bálint Karosi. Detailed information is forthcoming in the January issue of the Newsletter. • Thursday, February 26 at 4:00 PM in the Selby Public Library illustrated lecture by Dr. Géza Kisvarsányi, “Gold and Death in the Soviet Empire. ” • Sunday February 29 at 1:30 PM in the Sarasota Opera House (61 N. Pineapple Ave.) matinee performance of Verdi’s “Tosca” followed by a leap year reception in the courtyard. Tickets for the reception only are still available for $10 each payable to the Kossuth Club. • Thursday March 25 at 4:00 PM in the Selby Public Library video presentation of the Hungarian opera film “Bánk Bán” by the 19. centuiy composer Ferenc Erkel. Ticket contributions of $5 per person may be made at the registration desk. • Thursday April 29 at 4:00 PM in the Selby Public Library.
